We often blame the government for potholes, delays, and corruption. But what happens when the government actually builds a world-class highway, and the citizens themselves decide to destroy it?
A shocking viral video featuring influencer Vivek Patwa has surfaced from the newly constructed Delhi-Saharanpur Expressway (near Shastri Park/Laxmi Nagar), exposing a dark reality of Indian civic sense.
Must Watch: Why This Is Trending
“These Are Not Humans, They Are ‘Kitanu’ (Germs)”
In the video, the vlogger walks along the deserted, yet-to-be-opened flyover. At first glance, the damage looks like poor construction—lights hanging loose, bolts missing.
But then he reveals the truth.
“This didn’t break by the wind. These people you see here, these ‘germs’, they have destroyed it.”
The footage shows locals lounging on the highway, using it as a picnic spot. More disturbingly, he points out distinct signs of vandalism:
- Stolen Bolts: High-tech anti-glare barriers have been dismantled.
- Open Defecation: The vlogger points to spots where people have urinated and defecated on the new tarmac.
- Missing Lights: Expensive LED fixtures are being ripped out before the first car has even driven on the road.
The “Political” Excuse
The vlogger makes a sharp observation about the motive. He suggests that for some, damaging public property is a twisted form of political protest.

“They have such a problem with the BJP that they are destroying the highway… No matter which government comes, these people will never improve.”
The Verdict
As the Delhi-Dehradun corridor nears completion in February 2026, this video serves as a humiliating reality check. We demand infrastructure like China and the US, but do we have the civic sense to maintain it?
What do you think? Should there be strict arrests for damaging highway property? Let us know in the comments. ?
