In our culture, “Fayda” (Benefit/Gain) is usually a calculator. It measures return on investment. If I give X, I must get Y. If I don’t get Y, the effort was a waste. But recently, a viral spoken-word piece stopped us in our tracks. It takes this transactional phrase and turns it into a mirror for our souls. It asks the uncomfortable question: If you are winning at the “rat race” but losing at “life,” toh kya fayda? “It takes no time for a lifetime to pass, sir.Life is but a fleeting moment.If even then, you must beg for permission to live it… Toh Kya Fayda? If you became wealthy in gold, but remained a pauper in memories… Then what is the use?
